The plot takes place
on the made-up continents of Westeros and Essos, where nine noble houses
compete for the Iron Throne, and the show has a 9.2 rating on IMDb. This
television classic ran from 2011 to 2019 and has become a cultural phenomenon.
The programme is based on the fantasy novels written by George R. R. Martin.
